The Sound Symphony makes its home on the north shore of Long Island, New York. Our orchestra performs concerts at venues in Port Jefferson and throughout eastern Long Island.

Meet Dorothy Savitch, Our Music Director Dorothy Savitch has been Music Director of the Sound Symphony since 1997. Since her tenure began, the orchestra has received high praise for its vibrant performances and expansive repertoire. In August of 2003, Ms. Savitch was also named Music Director of the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, (www.bcco.info).
